Our field trip experiences are available during our two major farm seasons: Spring Strawberries and Fall Festival. Each season offers a different way for students to explore the farm, connect with local agriculture, and enjoy a memorable day outside the classroom.

The Basics
🕒 How Long Are the Trips?
Field trips can be 90 minutes to 2 hours in length, depending on the school’s preference and availability.
👥 How Many Students Can Attend?
Field trip capacity ranges from 15 to 300 students. We have space and facilities to support all group sizes.
📚 What Will Students Learn?
Our curriculum is standards-based and presented through hands-on, interactive engagement and fun.
💙 How Do You Support Special Needs?
We welcome students with super-powers (special needs). Contact us to learn how we accommodate for all learners.

What Your Students Will Experience
Preschool (ages 3, 4, & PreK)
Our focus is helping our youngest visitors gain confidence away from the classroom and to be engaged at all times. We connect how the farm is where our food comes from.
- Tractor ride to the corn maze and pumpkin fields
- Literature focused farm discovery lesson in our Corn Classroom to learn about identifying the equipment, plants, and animals on a farm and their function/contribution.
- Guided nature walk through the corn maze
- Hands-on play in Valleyville
- Visiting our adopted farm animals
- Choosing a small pumpkin to take home from our Pumpkin Corral
- Each classroom teacher chooses a large pumpkin to take back to school

Grades K to 3rd
Our focus is connecting how the grocery store may be where you purchase your food, but not where it comes from. The concept of a supply chain is introduced and built upon.
- Tractor ride to the corn maze and pumpkin fields
- Farm discovery lesson in our Corn Classroom with emphasis on where food comes from, the growth cycle of plants and their seasonality, and the work it takes to grow fruits and vegetables.
- Guided nature walk through the corn maze
- Hands-on play in Valleyville
- Visiting our adopted farm animals
- Choosing a small pumpkin to take home
- Each classroom teacher chooses a large pumpkin to take back to school
- Time for class photos
Grades 4th & 5th
Our focus is connecting in class science with the live outdoor application.
- Tractor ride to the corn maze and pumpkin fields
- Farm discovery lesson in our Corn Classroom with emphasis on the science behind what it takes for our food to grow: growth cycle, photosynthesis, importance of water, use of machinery and up and coming technology in the fields.
- Students, with their assigned teachers or chaperones, are given the task to find five checkpoints in our corn maze as part of our scavenger hunt.
- Visiting our adopted farm animals
- Choosing a small pumpkin to take home
- Each classroom teacher chooses a large pumpkin to take back to school
- Time for class photos
Grades 6th to 12th
Our focus is encouraging the interest of students to consider how a future career path could include impacting agriculture. What are the opportunities in trade and college?
- Tractor ride to the corn maze and pumpkin fields
- Farm discovery lesson in our Corn Classroom with emphasis on the science behind what it takes for our food to grow: growth cycle, photosynthesis, importance of water, use of machinery and up and coming technology in the fields.
- Students, with their assigned teachers or chaperones, are given the task to find five checkpoints in our corn maze as part of our scavenger hunt.
- Fun bounce time on our Jump Pad

I first was a teacher, then a parent, and now a farmer...
From these experiences, it is my privilege to bring you the culmination of many years of work to provide the ultimate farm field trip experience at Valley Fruits & Veggies here in the Lehigh Valley.
Thank you to the schools, administrators, teachers, parents, and students who have been part of this journey with us. We are so excited to welcome your class to the farm for a day of learning, playing, and hands-on fun.

A Farm Visit Students Will Remember
A Valley Fruits & Veggies field trip is designed to be more than a day away from school. It is a chance for students to get outside, ask questions, explore the farm, and experience local agriculture in a fun and approachable way.
